OP, your car breaking down and having your wallet nicked is a pain in the arse. I got a text of a friend today. She needs more chemo and possibly surgery for her brain tumour. I'm sure she would gladly swap places with you.
Oh, more reliable cars are available

So, your car broke down and your wallet got nicked. A pretty s tty day by all accounts. But worse day ever? OP, if so, you really are a very, very lucky man. And that should cheer you up no end, even after such a s tty day.

Hi guys, I know the 'worst day ever' term is such an exaggeration. I actually feel a lot better today, and its not the end of the day. Just need to sort out stuff like getting new license and etc. Do I need to replace the throttle body? I found this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...Its for M52 engine but I think mine is M52TUB25. Do you guys think it will fit? I don't have much knowledge about cars but I'm starting to learn now. Cheers!!

davepoth said: AIUI you'll need to get a replacement throttle body - best place is likely to be a scrapyard or ebay, it should be reasonably easy to replace at home. Thanks. I will do some more googling to get more info.

OP. Get a new throttle body and fit it if you are able, otherwise get it to a mechanic and get him to do it, shouldn't be too expensive.
Regarding your licence and things in your wallet, you'll never see those again I'm afraid.

I know, I will never get back. I did make a police report and really hope they use live camera / cctv and catch those b ds. I got some sentimental items in there as well!

As someone who has incurable advanced cancer I would be VERY p'd off if someone stole my wallet. Worst days are relative to one's life, so OP sorry to read about your problem and hope things get sorted soon. Sadly as you have learnt you can never trust anyone and welcome to the joys of PH posting!!

I spent the night slowly rolling round in my sleeping bag to relieve the pain from lying on a hard floor. On top of that I had an awful hangover and only made up 5 places in my race, oh and I lost a bet which cost me £10. life sucks sometimes. Well you must be very proud of yourself racing with an awful hangover and posting about it on a public forum, pratt.

Right, i have to side with OP. He made one badly worded topic and you b ds all leap on him. To have people turn from helping you out to thieves is a kick in the teeth, to be left a bit blindsided by a car breaking down out of the blue and suffering not being able to pay for repairs is equally painful. Surely you can forgive him the fact he overstated how bad his day was and just say "Tough luck op, hope it works out."

Two Sundays ago I woke up to my GF crying as she couldn't see out of one eye. Turned out to be a scratched cornea (so not serious) but we didn't know that until we'd dashed down to the hospital before even clearing the sleep from my eyes.
I was suffering a back injury at the time, which worsened due to the drive, and I ended up having to go to the out of hours Dr at the main hospital around 9pm that day. As we walked out to the car (me bent double) my GF slipped on the leaves on our driveway and broke her wrist. This required 'pulling' in A&E, which we didn't leave until 2:00am - now THAT is a bad day fellas.

Oh, more reliable cars are available Your friend text you that? Must be a close relationship. (in retrospect this seemed a little bit insensitive, but it annoyed me that you tried to make the OP feel guilty, so I posted it anyway).

PH is just absurd these days...do people actually scan through threads to find random things to be outraged about?? Also, out of interest, what is dangerous about posting the above on a public forum? Surely the police wouldn't be interested in someone being over the limit on a private racetrack?
