.......or bash the back of my heel it is really tender, I am quite concerned about it now. The pain is in the back of my heel, not the sole, it's a really odd place to injure as it seems to be a result of the impact of running, yet it is halfway up the back of my heel? ......
I had an identical pain a year or so back, after jumping into a swimming pool that was a metre shallower than I expected it to be. BAM, landed almost straight legged and I was convinced I'd broken something.
Anyway, the pain was all but gone next day, but I had this very tender spot right on the back centre of one heel, sharp deep pain if I tapped it or banged it.
It did slowly go away, several months, so I'm guessing it may have been a slight fracture, or maybe something torn off a bit, a ligament or tendon.
I'm too much of a
man to go to the doctor over stuff like that, so I guess I'll never know what it was.
